In T‑726/21, the General Court confirmed that Rolex cannot oppose the registration for ‘clothing’ of a mark representing a crown.
The CG found that there is no likelihood of confusion as ‘watches’ and ‘clothing’ are dissimilar goods.

On 13 April 2022, the Commission adopted a proposal for a regulationSearch for available translations of the preceding link on GIs for craft and industrial products to offer protection to products such as Murano glass, Donegal tweed, Porcelaine de Limoges, Solingen cutlery and Boleslawiec pottery. The proposal aims to enable producers to protect craft and industrial products and their traditional know-how in Europe and beyond.

Smart search in DPMAregister
Smart search in DPMAregister Seit Kurzem gibt es im DPMAregister die Möglichkeit der sogenannten “Smart search”. Hierbei handelt es sich um eine unkomplizierte, komfortable Möglichkeit, mit nur einer Eingabe alle im DPMAregister geführten Schutzrechte aller vier Schutzrechtsarten zu durchsuchen. Das entsprechende Suchfeld befindet sich am rechten oberen Bildrand auf der Startseite von DPMAregister. Nach Eingabe Ihres Suchbegriffs werden sämtliche Schutzrechte durchsucht. Zulässig als Eingabe in dem Suchschlitz sind Aktenzeichen, Veröffentlichungsnummer, Titel (auch Markenname), Inhaber oder Erfinder. Die Ergebnisse werden anschließend getrennt in unterschiedlichen Reitern für Patente, Marken und Designs angezeigt. Durch Anklicken des jeweiligen Reiters können Sie die dazugehörige Trefferliste aufrufen.
