Approximately half of all direct EUTM applications at EUIPO are now fully classified automatically via the Harmonised Database (HDB) system.The HDB contains goods and services terminology that has already been pre-approved by all national and regional intellectual property offices in the EU. Terms chosen from the HDB are automatically accepted at EUIPO.

As of 25 November 2019, the National Institute of Industrial Property Office of Chile (INAPI) has joined TMclass with the latest version of the Nice classification.The addition of INAPI brings the total number of national and regional IP offices, including ARIPO, OAPI, WIPO and EUIPO, involved in the tool to 77.
As of 04 November 2019, the National Institute of Industrial Property of Argentina (INPI) joined TMclass, and will use and accept the list of terms from the harmonised database (HDB) within the tool.In addition, the National Institute for the Defense of Free Competition and the Protection of Intellectual Property of Peru (INDECOPI) has joined DesignClass and will use and accept the list of terms from the harmonised database of product indications (HDBPI).

ARIPO joins TMclass As of 09 April 2018 the African Regional Intellectual Property Organization (ARIPO) joins TMclass. With this last addition, a total of 67 national and regional IP Offices, including OAPI, WIPO and EUIPO, are included in the tool.
