北京知識産権法院（北京知的財産裁判所）は、皮革メーカーのカントン・ワンリマ・インダストリー（GUANGDONG WANLIMA INDUSTRIAL CO., LTD.）が赤い靴底の靴を製造したことと、“レッドソール シューズ”という製品説明を用いたことが「クリスチャン ルブタン（CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN以下、ルブタン）」のシグネチャーデザインであるレッドソールと極度に類似し、「悪意を持って侵害している」と判断し、カントン・ワンリマ・インダストリーに対して不正競争防止法違反を理由に該当製品の即時販売停止と500万人民元（約1億円）の損害賠償、44万5000人民元（約890万円）の訴訟費用の支払いを命じた。
