A ruling in a lawsuit seeking the cancellation of the national geographical indication (GI) registration over the geographical indication (GI) protection system, which registers and protects the names of agricultural, forestry and fishery products and processed products that make use of integrated production methods and regional characteristics as intellectual property. On the 28th, it was at the Tokyo District Court.
