Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce co-own 1587 Prime steakhouse in Kansas City, and they are now being sued by 1587 Sneakers for trademark infringement. 1587 Sneakers’ complaint over the steakhouse was authored by attorney Ezra Salami and filed in the Southern District of New York. It also includes claims for unfair trade practices and unfair competition. The shoe company is based in New York City and began selling sneakers and apparel in 2023, and it says its products “unapologetically honor our heritage.” Shirts include the “Rice Cake Tiger Shirt” and various “Bamboo” gym shirts. 1587 Sneakers has a line of sports-themed products dubbed the “Chang Capsule,” which features former U.S. tennis player Michael Chang.

Trump International Airport” as Florida lawmakers move toward renaming the Palm Beach airport in his honor. New filings with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office ‒ which Trump controls ‒ show that attorneys have also filed to trademark “President Donald J. Trump International Airport” and “DJT,” a reference to the president’s initials.

Grenada has joined the Madrid System. WIPO’s International Trademark System now covers 132 countries. On December 15, 2025, the Government of Grenada deposited its instrument of accession to the Madrid Protocol – the governing Treaty of the Madrid System – with WIPO Director General, Daren Tang.
Grenada is the 116th member of the Madrid System, and the 10th country from Latin America and the Caribbean to join. Its accession further strengthens the Madrid System’s role as a practical and efficient solution for protecting trademarks worldwide. The Madrid Protocol will enter into force in Grenada on March 15, 2026.

Girl group IVE’s Jang Won-young has filed multiple trademark applications, which her agency clarified on Wednesday are for a “brand collaboration project.”

According to the Korea Intellectual Property Rights Information Service, the trademarks — filed under Jang’s name — include the names “Forever:Cherry” in both Korean and English, a cherry-shaped logo and around 30 products ranging from cosmetics and essential oils to electric toothbrushes.
The U.S. Supreme Court has declined to hear Vetements’ challenge to the refusal of its name to be registered as a U.S. trademark, leaving intact a line of decisions that treat foreign-language marks through the lens of direct translation.
